I finally broke down and bought one when I knew the job was going to require several thousand cuts and many hundreds would be short pieces that are hard to gang cut with a circular saw. The verdict is in and this blade does the job, it will cut 5-6 pieces at once and there is no creep and the cuts are super clean on the face.I still believe that the blades are way too expensive, but what are you going to do.3 of 3 people found the following review helpful.Does What it ShouldBy RussI'd bought a 12" compound sliding miter saw for my siding job... it came with a carbide-tipped blade. I ordered this Makita blade but the siding got here before the blade did. So I went to work with the carbide blade. It worked okay, slung lots of dust but it was out in the yard so no big deal. But I could see the blade teeth sparking on the cement board and I knew it was wearing quickly. When UPS brought this Makita blade, I put it on ASAP and continued my work. Good: cuts well, less dust, and lasts a long time. I also used it on some 1x2 wood trim with no problems.Bad: Leaves a bit of a ragged edge on the bottom of the cut piece. I guess this is due to the scarcity of teeth vs. other 12" blades. If you cut the piece face-up then the face is good and clean, and butted sawn edges looked fine. All in all, this is a good blade and I'm glad I bought it.See all 2 customer reviews...
